Super73-RX E-bicycle: Vintage Design, Modern Features

This new model of electric bicycle from Super73 combines vintage style with improved performance. Although we have not had the chance to try this new model out, if past performance is any indication of its future designs, the Super73 RX series is expected to exceed the performance and functionality of its previous model, the fun-to-ride Super73 S1 series.

According to specs provided by Super73, the new RX series boasts an aluminum alloy frame which is corrosion resistant, lighter and more rigid than steel. In addition to better handling due to the lighter weight of this retro-styled beauty, the RX’s fully adjustable suspension system includes preload, compression, and rebound adjustments, allowing riders to tune the system for their desired riding style.

The RX series will be available in two colors, red and "rhino gray" and will feature and feature an internally geared brushless DC hub motor capable of outputting up to 2000 watts of peak power. The RX can be ridden in three modes: Class 1 Mode: 20MPH (throttle deactivated pedal assist only), Class 2 Mode: 20mph and Class 3 Mode 28mph (throttle deactivated pedal assist only). Amongst its other generous features, the RX's battery will provide approximately forty miles of range at 20mph under throttle only operation and an estimated seventy-five miles of range using ECO pedal assist mode.

Don't let its nostalgic looks fool you. This e-bicycle's classic styling is paired with choc full of modern touches like its suite of smart electronics including turn-by-turn navigation, multi-class ride modes and crash detection that is accessible through the Super73 mobile app.

The RX series is available for preorder now and is currently being sold at a cost of $2,995. Looking forward to taking this e-bicycle out for a ride on the trail when its expected to ship in June of 2020.
